Welcome to Calvary Farms
A Family-Owned Farm in Adkins, Texas!
Calvary Farms' Outreach is a Non-Profit 501 (c)(3), family owned therapeutic care farm, whose mission is to provide sanctuary for animals in need, create animal education opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, and promote mental well-being through interactive animal experiences and connection with nature on the farm. We have over 100 animals that are primarily owner surrenders and rescues, that will spend the rest of their days receiving the love and care they deserve on our farm. We do not eat any of our animals, they are family. ✅ Visit Calvary Farms Our farm is located just 10 minutes outside Southeast San Antonio in Adkins, Texas. We are also in close proximity to Austin, New Braunfels, and Seguin. We do not have regular public hours. Instead, we host a variety of limited-ticket events, educational programs and field trips for people of all ages and abilities, small group visits, and private farm tours designed to support connection, learning, and well-being—while maintaining a low-stimulation environment for our animals and guests. Beginning in 2026, Calvary Farms is focusing on smaller, more intimate farm experiences that expand educational opportunities and deepen community engagement. Our approach is rooted in Therapeutic Care Farming (also known as social farming or green care), integrating structured, hands-on activities such as animal care and interaction, gardening, and nature-based learning. Intentional interaction with animals has been shown to help reduce stress, lower anxiety, improve emotional regulation, foster empathy, and create a sense of calm and connection. These experiences can be especially supportive for individuals navigating mental health challenges, burnout, disabilities, recovery, or life transitions. We will still be offering sensory inclusive birthday parties as well as immersive team building events. Come get back to your roots and embrace the simple life at Calvary Farms.

Our Story
It all started with a pig—literally. I'm Molly, an ER nurse by trade of 17 years, now turned farmer. I’ve dreamed of starting an animal therapy farm for as far back as I can remember. That dream began to take shape when my daughter Mia raised a show pig named Ziggy in high school. We fell in love with him and couldn’t bear to send him to slaughter. A mutual friend connected us with Jason, who had 15 acres in Adkins, TX. He offered to house Ziggy, and for two years, we drove 30 minutes each way to care for him. During that time, Jason and I became best friends—we talked for hours while our kids played, and our relationship continued to deepen as time went on. We married in June 2023 and now share nine children, two grandbabies, and now, over 100 fur babies. Jason, a retired Army veteran, had always wanted his property to be a safe place where people could enjoy the peace and serenity of farm life. Together, we brought our visions to life with Calvary Farms. We are forever grateful and give God the glory for bringing our family together and the journey that is Calvary Farms. Calvary Farms Outreach is now a Non-Profit 501 (c)(3). We are excited to continue to bring new rescues into our family, make our farm more ADA accessible, and create more educational programs focused on the benefits of animal interaction on mental health and providing opportunities for connection on our farm. Come visit and embrace the simple life!

🚨 We are reaching out with an urgent need for support. 🚨
Calvary Farms Outreach, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is committed to providing a safe, educational, and enriching environment for families 👨👩👧👦 while caring for our beloved animals 🐾.
As many of you know, we are fully funded by generous donations 🙏 and the admission fees from our events 🎟️.
💸 Recently, we incurred a veterinary bill totaling $2,755.50 to ensure the health and well-being of our animals.
This vital care included:
🦷 Dental floating for 4 of our horses
💉 Vaccinations & Coggins testing for our equines
🧪 Lab work for 8 horses and ponies
🔬 Fecal testing for our goats
🐖 Tusk & hoof trimming for 2 of our pigs
This care was not optional - it was necessary for the safety, comfort, and long-term health of the animals we’ve been entrusted to protect ❤️.
📣 We are asking our community to help us cover this bill so we can continue our mission without interruption.
✅ Every dollar helps
💚 All donations are tax-deductible
